Paolo Pecora Milano Spring/Summer 2014

Paolo Pecora burst onto the stage of Milan in 1984 as a producer of women’s shirts with a classic English flavor, debuting his first line of menswear in 1992 through innovative knitwear techniques. Now the artistic direction of the label is handled by Paolo’s children, Filippo and Camilla Pecora.

For this season, the siblings draw their inspiration from the Congolese sartorial subculture known as Sapeur, which is a French acronym for ‘the Society of Tastemakers and Elegant People’, who are famed for their colorful Parisian suits. The collection also revisits the prints and patterns of 1950’s British prep.
