The New Generation Fashion Tour from Italy: Nico Didonna

Nico Didonna was born in Noicattaro, Puglia, into a family of seamstresses. Although he studied hotel management, which brought him on travels around the world, he always recognized his inner creativity. So he enrolled to the London College of Fashion.

For the 2015 spring/summer collection, Nico draws inspiration from the opulence of the Borgia family, which he unites with the clean lines of Pierre Cardin, balancing opacity and transparency in a classic but contemporary style.

Originally from Valencia, the House of Borgia was a prominent family during the Renaissance that produced two popes. Although patrons and contributors to the Renaissance, they have been marred by scandals, bribes, murder, adultery, and corruption.

Nico beaks the rules with silhouettes that are voluminous, clean, and cleverly cut to reveal an all new dimension.

Opacity and transparency take now a new role in this collection, while fabrics are manipulated to reveal fusion among garments

The look is classic but contemporary, effortless , and tenacious, bearing Nico Didonna signature of modernity.
